For many, the first of the month arrives with apprehension and fear. Bills are due. Problems demand attention. The weight of responsibilities can feel overwhelming. But for others, this day is a chance to stand strong — to be bold, not busy.

This is the moment to put your fork in the ground and declare that this month will not defeat you. Instead, it will define your discipline, your focus, and your faith.

October 1st: Your Tier 1 Budget Begins

This week marks the start of your Tier 1 – 4 Week Budget. That means it’s time to focus only on what is necessary:

• Pay what is essential — rent, mortgage, utilities, food, and transportation.

• Cut what you cannot afford — non-essentials must wait. Remember: not every want is a need.

• Be mindful of due dates — organization prevents late fees and unnecessary stress.

• Ask for assistance — humility is strength, not weakness. Seek help where it is available.

• Pull out all the stops — use every resource at your disposal to secure stability this month.

Bold, Not Busy

Busyness often looks like progress, but it is boldness that produces fruit. Being bold means setting boundaries, telling yourself “no” where you must, and focusing on what will bring you closer to peace and provision.

This month, let boldness replace fear. Let clarity replace confusion. Let stewardship replace struggle.
